One station asks students to review a Google Classroom, but you may adapt that station to review any app you use in your district. About the store

Experience

Welcome! I've taught high school ELA for twenty-five years in a small school district in the Pittsburgh area.

Teaching style

My teaching style is pro voice and choice. I want to keep students engaged while holding them accountable. I incorporate many stations, writing bell-ringers, and discussion activities to keep the students moving and talking as much as possible. If the classroom is quiet for too long, then I don't think students are learning!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I don't seek awards and honors; I just like to do my thing. I volunteer a lot to help my communities and speak on behalf of teachers as much as possible. I just want to be a good human.

My own education history

I attended the University of Pittsburgh to receive my BA. I never desired to be outside of the classroom. My husband also graduated from Pitt and teaches there. My daughter will attend Pitt in the fall of 2026! H2P!

Additional biographical information

I'm an avid reader during the summer, when I'm not teaching. We also love watching hockey. We enjoy hanging at home and helping others.
