Students can practice writing quickly and efficiently with seven bell-ringer prompts about the play. Prompts are in order of the plot and can be assigned in the first 5-10 minutes of class but can also be assigned in any order you think is best. AP Big Ideas are attached to each prompt so students understand how their writing relates to the AP Literature and Composition Exam. A review of characters' personalities after a literature unit, students must decide which characters best exemplify each of the seven deadly sins with reasoning. Students will assign a character to a sin before explaining in a short, purposeful sentence how each character relates to each sin. Students may work individually or collaboratively in groups.
