Cubelets are awesome little cubes that are either inputs or outputs. Each combination of different cubes creates a different robot. I use an inquiry-based approach when introducing my students to these little robots. I just give them and go over the first two pages of this packet or pages 3-4 of this packet. First, students predict what each Cubelet does based on what it looks like or its color (some are very hard). Then, they are to investigate and take notes on the function of each Cubele

My students use this graphic organizer to take notes on whatever topic they are assigned and use it to complete a project or writing assignment. This organizer is VERY simple, easy to use, and helps them cite their sources in a bibliography. The last part of the sheet is for any similarities or differences they found in their sources. Commonalities can help students realize that the information might be important, and different information found in sources can lead to a greater understanding.
