Math in the Movies - An Anytime Activity
Activity for restless students and the end of the year! In this activity, students and teachers are directed to a website that has a wide variety of movie clips that reference math. For this particular activity, students watch a clip and answer the questions provided. This has been a really fun activity for my secondary math classes as a “rainy day” activity or a stress release during state/standardized testing! You can spend as little or as much time on this activity as you and your students

Teaching style
My philosophy of teaching is to find different ways for students to learn. I believe it is important to show students that math does apply to the "real world" and that yes, indeed, math can be fun.

I enjoy trying new strategies with my students and 'trying' to keep up with them and technology in the classroom.
I have also started working with my mom to create TpT resources. She has been teaching in the elementary grades for over 40 years!
