Perpendicular and Parallel Slope Exploration gives students a chance to discover the relationship of slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines. They will use Desmos slider bar tools to do so. Surface Area & Volume of Oblique Prisms: Student Investigation
In this investigation, students will use raw spaghetti and mini marshmallows to discover how the surface area and volume of a prism relate to the surface area and volume of the respective oblique prism. Transformation Activity Using iOS Photo Booth
This inquiry activity is a fun way to discover the various properties of rotations and reflections. My philosophy of teaching is to find different ways for students to learn. I believe it is important to show students that math does apply to the "real world" and that yes, indeed, math can be fun.
