STEM labs and projects

Students use Pixel Press Floors on the iPad to create an original video game where the hero tries to get through as many physical and chemical changes as possible. Students will publish their video games to the arcade and also have other teams beta test their games to ensure that it does not have any gliches.

Students create a time line of events that lead up to present day and begin with the beginning of earth. They use their research to create a Claymation video.

Students work in groups and choose three physics concepts. They use those concepts to create carnival games out of recycled goods after watching Caine's Arcade video clip. Students set up their carnival and invite other students to come play their games.

Students use Pixel Press Floors to create an original video game that takes the hero through different types of terrain and is created via code. Students incoroporate the land features they have learned in the mapping unit. Lastly, students create a map that shows exactly how the hero can make it through all three levels.

Students are guided to research and find answers about different atomic models throughout history and then use their information to create a short Claymation film.
