This is a diagram I use to help students understand how different celestial bodies are created and relationships between each. This diagram is slowly built as we progress from the very beginning of the universe: gas and dust, to the "life cycle of a star"--including just some of the possibilities such as creation of planetary nebulae, supernovae and black holes, the beginning of a planetary system, and how the universe is a cycle. Eventually everything dissipates back to the beginning elemen
