This is a set of chapter 2 posters that go with each lesson in the Go Math series. I plan on posting the lesson's "Big Question" each morning, discussing the question at the start of math, and then at the end of the lesson discuss the answer, or have the students write their answer in their math notebooks. Please let me know if you would like the other chapters as I have them all prepared.

This is a supplemental activity to the WIt and Wisdom FQT 1 in Module 2. Students will use this organizer to answer the task in FQT 1 but in a creative way! The final product is a travel brochure all about Galileo and his achievements. Included: Organizer and checklist for final brochure product. Use any size white paper to have students then create a trifold brochure to display their Galileo Knoweldge. I hope your students enjoy this mode of showing their knowledge :)

This More or Less game allows students to count, match one-to-one and record how many white and gray bats their are on each card. I also included a recording sheet for playing this game for more or for less depending which skill you are working on. There are 0-5 bats for each set of bats on the top row and 0-5 on the bottom row to compare to. I suggest laminating on cardstock so students can use a wipe off marker to count the bats and record the number in the box.

Each day my students have journal writing time. I allow them 10-15 in the beginning of the year and the time extends as they become more fluent writers. In this time the students are asked to read the prompt and create a story, or responsive answer. We take time to share out if the students would like. I usually share 3 each day. We also use our journal writing to work on specific skills. I hope your class enjoy these. I know my students love them!
