8th Grade Physical Science Curriculum Map Color Coded with Vocabulary

The first step in planning. I color coded the State Pacing Guide with important information and added the math connections as well as critical vocabulary in color coded sections that I used in my classroom to organize my interactive vocabulary walls. As a visual learner I found this made my ability to process the standards much easier.

Teaching style

I believe in options and opportunities for learning. I try my best to allow students note options, investigation options, choice boards, and active discussions to relate and connect to our topics.

My own education history

I double majored and graduated from UGA in 2008 with a BA in History and a BS in Secondary Social Science education. I completed the gifted certification in Georgia in 2014 and am currently working on other degrees.
