About the store

Experience

I have taught 6th grade Writing and Grammar, 12th grade ELA, and 7th grade RLA, which is what I currently teach. I have 14 years experience in Texas public schools.

Teaching style

My passion is bringing books students love into the classroom. I believe the more choice students have in what they read, the more they invest in it. I also love creating digital resources to free up grading time for teachers and meet kids where they are at as a digitally savvy generation.

My own education history

Bachelor of English with a Teaching Composite from Texas A&M College Station in 2000. G/T and ESL certified.

Additional biographical information

When I am not teaching, I am raising 3 wonderfully rambunctious boys with my husband in the Piney Woods of East Texas. I love my family, and I love the Lord. Cooking is my stress relief and joy, and I am constantly reading! I love gardening, camping, my chickens, and playing games of any kind.
