About the store
I learned to play the guitar and ukulele in my 40's and have loved bringing the joy of each instrument into my classroom daily. I do not have a singer's voice and love to have my class sing louder than me while I play the instrument. I want other teachers who have ever been curious about using the guitar or ukulele in their teaching, that it can be quick and easy to learn.

Do you pick a star student or student of the week? This binder includes a cover and inserts for a Star of the Week. My version is special as I send home a borrowed reading buddy (stuffed animal), an "All About Me Poster" that I purchased seperately & already use, and a journal entry. Includes ideas of what to do with the reading buddy and a journal entry to encourage writing and drawing. This version does not include directions for a take home ukulele, it's more general.

Experience

I learned to play the guitar and ukulele in my 40's and have loved bringing the joy of each instrument into my classroom daily. I do not have a singer's voice and love to have my class sing louder than me while I play the instrument. I want other teachers who have ever been curious about using the guitar or ukulele in their teaching, that it can be quick and easy to learn.

Teaching style

Teaching to the whole child by incorporating brain breaks, opportunities to get wiggles out, and using the ukulele and guitar in my teaching as much as I can. I've written a few songs that use similar simple tunes and chords that are easy to quickly pick up and use for classroom learning. Each song only uses 3-4 of the same chords.
