I learned to play the guitar and ukulele in my 40's and have loved bringing the joy of each instrument into my classroom daily. I do not have a singer's voice and love to have my class sing louder than me while I play the instrument. Editable student clever badge login with detailed instructions for parents
If your district uses Clever to house the apps of adopted programs, this login card makes it helpful to get those logins organized at home and at school. I print the student QR codes off of Clever, cut them out, and glue them onto this editable PDF. Then laminate and send home or keep in reading folders for parents to keep track of. Ukulele Thankful Fall Song with chord charts on the page
This is a great song that speaks to the weather changes in the fall as well as what we're thankful for. It lends itself easily to hand and body motions to match the words. Would be a great song to use during a fall party as a quick presentation song to parents. This download includes the left and right hand chord charts with finger placement.

The weather helps us decide what to wear and what acitivities we'll do for the day. This song is great to sing with your whole class while you strum the guitar. If you're new to the guitar, simply downstrum the entire song in one chord (or no chords at all and work your way into it over time). If you know a few chords, there are bolded fonts to cue you when the chords will switch in the song. For more experienced players, the chord charts and recommended strumming are listed.

Teaching style
Teaching to the whole child by incorporating brain breaks, opportunities to get wiggles out, and using the ukulele and guitar in my teaching as much as I can. I've written a few songs that use similar simple tunes and chords that are easy to quickly pick up and use for classroom learning. Each song only uses 3-4 of the same chords.
