I have been teaching for 19 years (Elementary Education, Middle School Social Studies, and Technology), and have integrated tech into my classroom every step of the way.
I am also the founder of the first school Linux club in North America (The Community School of Excellence Asian Penguins) and its successor clubs (The Aspen Academy Penguin Corps and The Lake Middle School Penguin Corps). I sought to create ways for kids to learn, have fun, and impact their communities through Linux and Open Source software.
In addition to this, I have also been a technology integrationist, a technology coordinator, and an assessment coordinator. I have written several articles about Linux in school and have taken teams of students with me to present at many educational and technology conferences.
