I've been teaching 2nd grade since 2005 and I am still in the classroom! I love teaching and can't imagine having any other career. I have my Masters Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading. I pride myself in the fact that I create products that I use in my own 2nd grade classroom. Print and Go! All POSITIVE parent notes! Print out the desired parent note that you want to send home, 6 to a page, write in the child's name at the top, and send home! I've left room on some of them for an extra little note that you might want to make and/or sign your name. This is a two page bar graph template to use to track all of the progress monitoring you do for the mClass Number Facts assessment. It is for 2nd grade, with an EOY goal of 28. I have my students graph their weekly PM test on here. It lists forms 1-20 at the bottom. The preview that you see above shows you EXACTLY what this is. The intention is to copy back to back and have the students fill this in to take ownership of their data. I use this to have students show their parents at conferences.

Created for my own classroom's needs this year, sharing with you! Four different pieces of spelling homework that can be used if you give 5 spelling words at a time: Write 3 times each Write 5 times each Write each word in a sentence Put words in ABC order Also could be used in a spelling center, choose 5 words, and complete each task for them! Each piece of homework/center sheet is on a half sheet of paper as to save paper when printing so many throughout the year! :)

Teaching style

I use a lot of workstations/centers in my classroom and try to make it a priority to have everything differentiated for my students. The materials that I post here on Teachers Pay Teachers are things that I actually use in my own classroom and have hands-on experience with. I teach in a 100% Title One School in an inner city area. All of my lessons, activities, and centers are differentiated to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.
