Students will complete an online lab about static electricity, construct an electroscope, and design and conduct and experiment using their electroscopes. This is a fun way to kick start a unit centered around static electricity. My students really enjoyed constructing these and seeing how they worked.
This digital activity has students exploring physics from around the world with this interactive Google Slides! Physics problems focus on kinematics, forces, and energy! Great of review or even a sub day! Answer sheet and answer key provided!
Students solve physics problems dealing with momentum, impulse, inelastic, and elastic collisions. Instead of letters, the numbers fit together in a crossword puzzle. Great for review! My AP Physics students loved this activity. Includes answer key!
Students compare the parts of an electrical circuit to systems and processes that they experience in real life, and then create a visual comparison (poster). For example, I had students compare the parts of an electrical circuit to parts of the brain, the hallway at school, the grocery store, etc.
Students solve each problem involving kinematic equations. Each question number corresponds to a square on the puzzle. In order for students to solve the puzzle, they must figure out which letter, displayed on answer cards around the classroom, corresponds to the question number. When the entire puzzle is solved, students will revel a science pun! Students are able to practice solving kinematic equations, self check, and get up and moving around the classroom! Teacher Prep involves making st
A quick guide for students as they practice solving kinematic formulas. Includes: Basic kinematic formulasAdvanced kinematic formulasVectors/Scalar QuantitiesExample Problems with answers
Includes:Student workbook - Day-by-Day instructions and reflection questions Editable Rubric Group Evaluation Form Overview: Students will build a car that runs entirely on the power of a mousetrap. Students can choose to build their car for speed OR for distance. This workbook has day by day instructions and reflection questions for the students. The activity also includes an editable rubric, and an optional peer feedback form. I also had my students choose a theme to design their cars around
General InformationA bundle of two worksheets on the mathematics of energy conservation Worksheet focusing on gravitational potential energy and kinetic energyWorksheet that includes interactions between gravitational potential, elastic potential, and kinetic energiesSolutions for all problems and worksheets, that are worked out step by step, are included Other Info:Gravitational acceleration = 9.8 m/s/sProblems do not include friction or air resistance
Students solve word problems using distance, speed, and time. As students solve the problems correctly, pixels of a secret image appear on the screen. This puzzle requires very basic math and knowledge of units. Once the entire puzzle is solved correctly, a dinosaur will appear! Answer Key included!
Students will solve velocity and acceleration practice problems using Google Sheets. When students answer problems correctly, part of an image will appear! Once all problems are answered correctly, the entire image will become visible. This activity only uses the basic velocity and acceleration formulas Answer key is included
Students can practice using kinematic equations with this pixel puzzle! When students correctly answer a question, part of the puzzle appears. When all answers are correct, the entire puzzle will appear. This puzzle includes practice using the four kinematic equations (some including gravitational acceleration), and units. Activity includes answer key and worked out solutions Please let me know if anything is amiss :)
Students solve basic F=ma problems, as they correctly solve, parts of a pixel image appear! Not only do students have fun, they are also able to self check their answers! Answers included!
Google slides presentation about the concepts of work and power. Includes PearDeck add on slides (If you haven't used the PearDeck slides add-on, I highly recommend) Great for physics or physical science classes
