These worksheets are designed for the 3rd grade Benchmark unit "Animal Adaptations" They ask simple comprehension questions as well as require students to utilize text features.

Color coded highlighter directions so that students can read the text three times each time with a new purpose. i.e: highlight words you don't know in yellow. Includes character analysis thinking map. Will work with any literary text.
