About the store
Greetings, I'm Dr. Samuel Baillie, a lifelong educator and passionate advocate for student self-regulation skills. With degrees spanning Music, Instructional Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, and Teacher Leadership, I've dedicated my career to empowering young people to achieve academic and personal success. My teaching certifications cover a range of subjects - from P-12 music to 4-8 ELA and social studies. However, my true calling has been helping students develop the essential competencies of emotional intelligence, self-regulation, and executive functioning. Through both 1-on-1 coaching/tutoring and classroom instruction (in-person and virtual), I've witnessed firsthand the transformative impact these skills can have. Now, as an educational consultant, my mission is to support teachers in seamlessly integrating these crucial abilities into their curriculum. My doctoral dissertation involved designing and implementing a professional development program where educators learned to incorporate self-regulated learning and motivation strategies. It's my firm belief that equipping students with self-regulation skills is key to helping them find their successes - in the classroom and beyond. I'm honored to share my expertise and work alongside teachers committed to this important goal.

Teaching style

Currently I teach honors ELA and I have head success integrating success skills into the curriculum. I am constantly assessing students and selecting topics that will be of most use to them based on feedback. The goal is to help all students with any challenges they face, whether it is anxiety, procrastination, motivation, and the list goes on.
