I worked as a classroom teacher in a Title 1 School for over 10 years but I’ve worn many hats in the world of education, from leading engaging lessons to mentoring fellow educators. I’ve served as a Director of After-School and Summer Programs, a Teacher Leader in engagement strategies and technology integration, and a mentor teacher and trainer, helping others bring fresh, effective practices into their classrooms.
But my passion didn’t stop at the whiteboard.
For the past 4 years, I’ve been deeply immersed in research on the science of teaching and learning, with a special focus on mathematical and scientific development in early childhood and elementary education. I believe the best learning happens when it’s developmentally aligned, hands-on, and sparked by joy and curiosity.
