About the store
As an educator, I taught in Utah schools for 2 years as a resource teacher helping students with their IEP goals. After teaching in a formal public school setting, I transitioned to teaching primarily in the home for the next 20 years. During these years a love of learning was shared with many preschoolers; as owner and operator of a private preschool was able to help and encourage young students to develop emotionally, socially and academically according to their individual needs. More recently, I have enjoyed substitute teaching in California for two years before taking a full time teaching position as an ISP Learning Center teacher for students k-5 with moderate to severe learning disabilities. I have substitute taught in various environments including SDC and ISP grades PreK-8.

Do You Want To Build A Rainbow? Song

This is an original song to help young children learn the colors of the rainbow. This is sung to the tune of "Do You Want To Build A Snowman?" from the movie Frozen. Children catch on fast to the tune and can color the included rainbow as they sing the song.

Preschool Memory Book

I have been making memory books for my preschoolers for many years. I still have families from past years tell me that they still enjoy looking at the little books. This memory book for preschoolers is a perfect gift to give to parents at the end of the year. Just print a copy for each of your students, cut each page in half, fill in blanks with a black felt tip pen and add pictures from the year. I like to put paint on their little hands and make a print on the appropriate page but you can also

Personal Behavior Clip Chart With Behavior Report

I use my personal behavior clip chart in my Learning Center classroom with children that have various special needs. I chose to make the clip chart personal rather than using one classroom chart with everyone’s clip on the same chart because I needed another option for those students that have anxiety about their performance in comparison with other children. This is especially true for my students with autism. This is a great alternative to a classroom clip chart. Students may keep their own cl

Learning Assessment for Beginning Academic Skills

I use this assessment to track academic growth throughout the school year. I like to have parents fill it out first at the beginning of the school year in September so that I can have an accurate accounting of what each student knows based on the parents assessment. I then do 2 more assessments throughout the year. I give the parents a copy of the assessment at the end of the school year to show their students growth and areas of weakness that need extra at home practice. I have used this with m

Practice Name Writing and Recognition

This worksheet is editable and allows you to put in your own child's name. Child can trace it, build it, and write it. I like to laminate the page so that the child can use it over and over again using wipe off or washable markers. I also like to print a large copy of child's name and laminate it. Child can use letter tiles or clothespins with letters of the name on each one to build name.

Teaching style

A life long learner who shares a love of learning through teaching. I am a strong believer that all children can grow and progress especially when learning is individualized and differentiated.
