About the store
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! This is my 22nd year of teaching, and I have worked for Fayetteville Public Schools for the past 15 years. I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade language arts & social studies, and I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist. I previously served as a literacy coach for Fayetteville Public Schools, and I am Nationally Board Certified as well as a Master Professional Educator. I absolutely LOVE teaching, and I am passionate about helping learners reach their fullest academic potential.
I currently teach an Orton-Gillingham based multisensory language therapy program called Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with dyslexia.

Growth Mindset--WD-40 Lesson! (Grit and Resilience)
This lesson is a powerful reminder of the importance of growth mindset and grit! It can be used in any subject. I have used this analogy with my middle school students to instill hope and resilience. 4 Corners Icebreaker
Here’s another good icebreaker for the beginning of a school semester or as a fun way for people to get to know each other better.
