This year marks 21 years of teaching 🎉🎉🎉 I have taught all levels of 8th-grade science for 13 years. I am now in my eighth year teaching gifted and talented students from 1st to 5th grade. I also have extensive training in NGSS through the New Jersey Department of Education as well as the Utah Partnership.

Engineering Design Challenge: Build a House for Fred! {NGSS 3-5-ETS1}
Have fun with your students as they learn the engineering design process! Begin the project with the story a Fred, a displaced worm who dreams of a two story home for him and his family. Students first examine a graphic organizer of the engineering design process before answering questions about the process. Next, students dive into the project using the packet which breaks down each step of the engineering design process in an easy and comprehensible way. Easy to gather classroom material

Experience
This year marks 21 years of teaching 🎉🎉🎉 I have taught all levels of 8th-grade science for 13 years. I am now in my eighth year teaching gifted and talented students from 1st to 5th grade. Through my experience as a science teacher, I find that if I am excited about what I am teaching, my students are as well! Hands on, creative lessons maximize student engagement and learning. Let's have some fun!
