Use this resource to practice multiplicative comparison statements with your students! The worksheet includes an example and provides scaffolded assistance along the way! Enjoy!
My 4th graders loved becoming the teacher with this fun worksheet! Have students practice solving multiplicative comparisons while pretending to be the teacher!
These number of the day slides are an awesome way to reinforce important math terms such as factors, multiples, prime, composite, expanded form, decimal form, fractions, and more! Using these slides at the beginning of a lesson will help students learn the different ways a number can be written and practicing using the number in a word problem! My students have number of the day notebooks where they answer the questions on the slide. We then fill in the answers on the board! This is a great way
I created vocabulary cards for each word/topic addressed in 6th grade Math. These cards include the word, definition, and some include a picture. I printed these (4 to a page) so that they are about the size of a postcard. I hang them up on our word wall as we move through each topic. These would also be great for students to glue into a notebook or to attach to a vocabulary ring!
My kiddos in 1st Grade have loved personalizing their journals and showing off what they have learned so far. I usually use our journals during the first 20 minutes of Math time. We go over our number of the day and have a brief discussion and then they are off to jot down notes in their journals. I have included the first few pages of the Math journal. You can print the number of the day, number sentence, word problem, and what I learned pages multiple times depending on how many days you wish
Thanks for checking out the "Unit Rate Grocery Store!" I used this activity with my 6th graders while we were learning about unit rates! We use ratio tables and double number lines throughout this topic so this was a fun way to have them practice. You could use this for a small group exercise, centers, a warm up, or a review activity!
I hung up these colorful posters in my classroom to help my students with order of operations. These are a quick and easy reference posters that can easily be taken down or put up when necessary!
Hello! I am a first year teacher and I realized my 1st graders need to have vocabulary introduced and in front of them throughout the lesson. I created basic vocabulary slides that can also be printed as individual cards for each student. These are the vocabulary terms that I have found that my students struggle with the most. Thank you for taking the time to look!
Introduce data to your students by utilizing this interactive and engaging lesson. Give students a sticky note to stick under their favorite season. Then answer the analyzing questions as a class to interpret the data. Finally, create a bar graph with your class to show the results!
