Set 1 Finger Cards: Beginning Band Preview These cards should be utilized by beginning Band students who have difficulty identifying notes and/or fingerings. Instruments included are: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet/Cornet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium/Baritone. Students may begin using the cards as soon as they begin reading notes. The Crane Composition: “The Crane” was written for two sets of Concert Toms and Bass Drum. Composed in 5/4 meter it is a challenge for the beginning Percussionist. Not only is the meter a challenge, but the focus is also on playing as an ensemble. Composition: “Chopsticks” is a well-known musical composition for keyboard instruments. I have arranged it for two xylophones and a marimba for a grade 1 difficulty for beginning players. Options: 1.
