Supplements for Learning

Students will use task cards to solve the perimeter of different polygons. On some task cards, students will have to solve an unknown side length of a polygon when the perimeter is given. There are 30 task cards included.

In this interactive STEM lesson, students explore what plants need to survive and apply that knowledge by designing and building a model habitat for a seed in a harsh environment. Using teamwork and the engineering design process, they’ll create, test, and reflect on their plant habitat models while recording observations in a science journal. This hands-on activity blends life science, engineering, and critical thinking in a fun and meaningful way.
