Students research a commodity and it's economic impact on both a national and global level. A blank worksheet is included as well as several pre-determined commodity pages. This assignment is designed to be used with MyCAERT lesson A-1-7 -  Agriculture’s Impact on theWorld Economy but can be used independently.

Students look at 10 scenarios and determine if the USDA or EPA is in charge of regulation. This Google Form is set to auto-grade. Use the scenarios to extend learning by having students make a one-pager of how the agency should handle the situation. Farm to Fork can be defined in two ways. One, it can describe the steps taken to get a product from the farm to the table. The second being farms located close to restaurants and markets that it skips the distribution step making the food closer to the consumer. This is a no prep research project using Google Sites. Students create their own site on a selected topic. I have included topics that were covered in my class. You just need to switch out the list of approved topics for your own class! Use this as a single or group project. Includes student instructions on how to create and edit their own site, link to an example site, link to an example outline, instruction videos for creating the site, and a link to the rubric.
