This product gives 7 sets of worksheets for 28 weeks of school for 8th grade students to use when reviewing current events. You will need to copy each set for four weeks.
Students are given the opportunity to create a multiple-tier timeline based on the life of a particular famous person and coinciding events that took place in the US.
Students are given the opportunity to explore and research one of the original 13 American colonies.The teacher example uses the colony of Delaware. Students would then chose from the other 12 colonies to create their project.The student copy can be added to the end of this presentation or used just as the project example.
Students will research information and complete a matrix about eight different occupations using the materials provided. Students will then use the matrix that they created to complete a comparison worksheet about the eight occupations.

Students will practice identifying and using future perfect tense verbs.Students will also be able to take an assessment on future perfect tense verbs.All can be printed or shared in Google Classroom.
Students will use the internet to research examples of primary sources. Students find a picture of primary sources.Students will then explain why the primary source that they chose is a good example of a primary source.
Students will work in small groups to perform a simulation using an assembly line and the concept of shortages.Students will then individually complete an opinion writing piece about the simulation.
*This is a version of Family Feud that you can play with your junior high classes at Christmas time. There are a variety of questions ranging from what Santa needs to wear to things to do on Christmas Eve.
Students will create an end of year brochure that will highlight information about the school year that they are completing. Students will use these brochures made by the previous classes to review at the beginning of the next school year.
Students take a pretest to gauge knowledge of the E12 Ohio 6th grade S.S. standard.E12 I can predict the present and future economic decisions and explain how individuals and societies may evaluate choices differently.
Students will complete a prewriting activity for an expository essay. There are 2 versions of this activity. The first shows example topics. The second version will have a blank area for your topics.All can be printed or shared in Google Classroom.

I went to Catholic grade school from grades 1-8 and then to a private Catholic high school. After graduation, I attended Youngstown State University earning a Cum Laude Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (1-8).
