Sweeney's Spot

Students will research information and complete a matrix about  eight  different occupations using the materials provided.  Students will then use the matrix that they created to complete a comparison worksheet about the eight occupations.

Explanation of Product:Students will take this pre-test in order to gauge their knowledge of conjunctions and their function.Students will be assessed on their understanding of correlative conjunctions.All  can be printed or shared in Google Classroom.Follows Ohio ELA Standards:L5.1 Explain the function of conjunctions, in general and their function in particular sentences.Use correlative conjunctions (e.g., either/or, neither/nor)

Students will practice identifying and using future perfect tense verbs.Students will also be able to take an assessment on future perfect tense verbs.All  can be printed or shared in Google Classroom.

Students are given the opportunity to work together to complete an introductory text features activity.

Students will complete a prewriting activity for an expository essay. There are 2 versions of this activity. The first shows example topics. The second version will have a blank area for your topics.All  can be printed or shared in Google Classroom.
