At the end of the year, the behaviors always seem to escalate, and the more tools we have in place to help mitigate them, the better! I created this Think Sheet to help students who might not know how to write and reflect independently be able to document their behaviors, and reflect on them without having an adult looking over their shoulder. I've been teaching public school for 10 years, and private for 1 year.

Teaching style

Strongest in incorporating music literacy into games and activities for grades 1-3, so that children are learning to read notes on the staff long before they begin having to read music to play a musical instrument. I love making sure that my students in grades 4-6 have a chance to use Chord Progressions and fully understand Time Signatures. I also start teaching sight singing in first grade so that by the time they start chorus, they have at least started to understand the basics of melodic contour, if not the ability to read entire phrases by sight.
