I created this document to improve my students' reading comprehension. I wanted to make sure they were being asked thoughtful questions, and had practice responding to them. This was an integral part of my Balanced Literacy program, used most often for independent reading. I designed these "Help Cards" for my students who are on an accommodated or modified math program. These cards serve as a prompt for the proper method to follow when determining the surface area of a rectangular prism. I print them on paper, glue them to a note card, hole punch the corner and attach them to a ring for ready use.
