Comparing and Ordering Integers Using Inequalities Task (Also Absolute Value)
Students will write, interpret, and explain statements and
order integers in real world context. Students will also
interpret statements of inequalities about the relative
position of numbers on a number line. Last, students will
create their own problem dealing with inequalities. This task can be used as an activity and/or assessment. It is great for formal or informal observations.

Least Common Multiple Task
Student will have to discover how many times a person completes household chores on the same day over a span of 2 months. Students will also have to explain the strategy they used to solve the problem. Furthermore, students will have to discover the total amount of money they will earn for the two months. This task is challenging because students aren’t told to find the least common multiple. They must discover what strategy to use based on their knowledge of the number system. This task can b

Experience
I am a middle school teacher for the city of New York. I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade Math, English, Science & Social Studies. I have been educating since 2005. While in the classroom, I have coached both students and teachers.
Teaching style
As a teacher, my goal is to make learning FUN! I provide children with strategies on how to learn so they can comprehend what is being taught. I instill knowledge that each child needs in order to be successful. I enjoy small group instruction and creating tiered tasks. There is nothing better than seeing the light bulbs of your students go off. The goal of my tasks is to create engaging activities that challenge students to think and apply academic concepts that inevitably produce open discourse amongst the students.
