This is a color-by-code activity. Students have to reduce each fraction on the turkey to its simplest form. Then, they use the code to color the turkey. This activity gives 3rd and 4th grade students an excellent opportunity to practice reducing fractions to their simplest forms. It is also a great review for 5th graders before they begin adding and subtracting fractions.

The Kids Money Book is a great resource when teaching a unit about money. I devised a comprehension test, a vocabulary quiz, a spelling test, and a focus sheet to be used along with this book.
