In this fun Halloween themed activity, students will learn about the three rhetoric devices: ethos, logos, pathos and work to identify which is being used by a character on trial. Afterwards, they will choose their own fictional client to defend and present three pleas to the jury.

Making data-driven decisions is an important part of classroom instruction. Often times it is hard to keep track of the many different pieces. This is a tool I use personally in my classroom to track different assessments (fluency, STAR Scores, Grades, Attendance). Use of this tool can help streamline data and give an overall picture of how students are progressing.
