About the store
I've taught kindergarten for 6 years and 2nd grade for 3 years - I LOVE those little guys! Before teaching, I worked as an aide in an amazing 1st/2nd grade multiage classroom where I learned many of the practices I use today. I'm currently taking some "breathing space" to focus on my family for a while... both of my sons are in high school and I've come to the acute realization of just how brief this time together really is! This has also been a terrific time for me to work on expanding and beefing-up my teaching materials. Hence my little store... Teacher's Breathing Space!

Teaching style
I love the challenge of trying to combine hands-on, artsy-craftsy, or center-based activities with rigorous, standards-based learning! I believe that if kids sing it, eat it, create it or DANCE it, they're going to LEARN it!
