Kindergarteners need lots of writing practice. This provides one way to practice their letter writing.

Alphabet Writing Book-Spanish
This book includes a page for each letter for students to practice writing uppercase and lowercase letters. Each page includes a picture of an object that begins with that letter. This is in Spanish but can be adapted to English easily.

Mi Diccionario- Español
This is a blank dictionary. The cover is in Spanish and it includes the Spanish letters (ch, ll, ñ). I have used it in a kindergarten class and a third grade class. In kindergarten, we used pictures that we cut out or drew and would write the words below. In third, the student use it as they need it and they write new words that they have learned in Science, Social Studies or Language Arts.

This includes a red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, brown, white, pink, gray book and a rainbow book. They are in Spanish. They come adapted to be used throughout the school year and each book focuses on different sight words such as el, la, un, una, puedo, etc. The first books are just to be read while the later books include student writing. Mi Libro del Abecedario- Spanish Alphabet Book
Alphabet book for students to begin writing their own sentences about things with each letter. Can be easily differentiated by asking students to write additional sentences.

Ice Cream Multiplications
Ice cream scoops and cone. The ice cream cones come with numbers written on them up to 24 for those of us who number the students. I also include a page without numbers. Scoops have multiplications up to 12. There is a page with circles for the cherries on top. Enjoy!

100th Day Pack
Includes parent letters and in class activities and ideas in English and in Spanish.
100 licks/probadas- give students a lollipop and have them lick it 100 times. Every time they lick they cross one of the numbers up to 100.
100 stamps/sellos- Have the students stamp their finger 100 times using ink or paint.

Experience
I have been teaching Dual immersion for eight years and have found that there are not enough materials available so I began making my own. The first four years teaching were in Kindergarten and I am currently in 3rd.
Teaching style
I use a constructivist approach. I teach using CGI math strategies, Writers Workshop, Guided Reading, and Daily 5. I believe that it is important to adapt instruction to the students' needs. I am a teacher that is constantly learning and adapting with my students.

Additional biographical information
I started a dual immersion program at my site and it has definitely been an interesting journey. Through it I have found that there are amazing teachers and students everywhere but we often lack the resources necessary to be successful. I work to make the resources necessary for teachers and I am always looking to find ways to help my students get the resources they need.
