Homework Folder Cover Spanish and English
These are covers for a homework folder for Kindergarten to 5th grade. I always glued this cover to the front of their homework folder (I used the 50 cent folders from Staples or Office Depot). I would write their name under the lion in the box. This made sure that all the students had a homework folder the first part of the school year regardless of their home situation. After it began to tear I would let them replace it with one of their own. I would also have some in my treasure bin for those

Experience
I have been teaching Dual immersion for eight years and have found that there are not enough materials available so I began making my own. The first four years teaching were in Kindergarten and I am currently in 3rd.
Teaching style
I use a constructivist approach. I teach using CGI math strategies, Writers Workshop, Guided Reading, and Daily 5. I believe that it is important to adapt instruction to the students' needs. I am a teacher that is constantly learning and adapting with my students.

Additional biographical information
I started a dual immersion program at my site and it has definitely been an interesting journey. Through it I have found that there are amazing teachers and students everywhere but we often lack the resources necessary to be successful. I work to make the resources necessary for teachers and I am always looking to find ways to help my students get the resources they need.
