3D Shapes in the Real World Poster
Display this min-poster in your room to show your students "real-world" examples of solid (3D) shapes!
I did an activity where my students were put into groups of 4 and given one 3D shape, and they had to come up with as many things as they could think of that were that shape in the "real-world". I then made this poster from the list they came up with.
It is a good reminder for them to reference back to when we talk about these shapes and helps them to make connections to things

Circle Map Template
I use this circle map template to introduce circle maps to my students. They use this map to define something by putting a topic in the middle, and then the characteristics in the surrounding circle. I use this map for science, math, reading, or any topic that they want to give more details about. Rounding SWAT! Review Game!
This is a great way to review rounding to the nearest hundred with you class! It gets them up and moving, and keeps the attention of all of the students! Enjoy!

Teaching style
I love anything and Everything Disney, and I try to make my classroom as fun and creative as possible because of it! My kiddos are always given the opportunity to share and explore new things through technology and inquiry. Because I use Whole Brain Teaching in my classroom, my students are given their expectations from day one and that is the main reason why my classroom management style has been shared and modeled in lots of other classroom in my building. My students are always engaged in every bit of learning or teaching that is going on. Whether it be gestures, mirroring, teaching someone else, or responding to literature my students are never just "sitting there". I feel that students are at school to learn in a way that will be everlasting, so that it why I give my students every opportunity to be taught and teach others in a creative and innovative way.
