Halloween Hats and Spider Sorts
This file contains an Halloween themed emergent reader, word cards, sentence builders, short a and short o word sort, and a spider themed writing paper.
The emergent reader can be used in a guided reading group or who;e group as a K or 1 grade level text. The set includes word cards for every word in the book, both in black and white and in color. Picture cards are included for the non-sight words so the word cards and picture cards can be used to build sentences.

Experience
I have been teaching for 28 years in Title I schools. I have taught general education/SPED collaboration classes, Kindergarten, first, third, fourth, and PreK Head Start.
Teaching style
Community building drives the tone of the classroom. I try to provide a space centered with respect, care, and consistency. I don't always get it right, but my students and I muddle through together to create a place where we can come together happily each day.
