I've been teaching for 13 years in a variety of schools throughout Texas and Oregon. My heart is really in Kindergarten - I've taught Kinder for 10 years now and could not imagine myself anywhere else!

My students are currently working on subtraction and I am always looking for fun ways for them to practice the skill. I got some shape punches from the Target dollar section recently and realized they could punch out the shape, glue them to match the number, then subtract by crossing out the matching number and write the answer. This will help them gain beneficial fine motor practice, coordination, plus good ol' count and match the number time.
If you don’t have shape punches, you can always us
I am addicted to the mini erasers that all kindergarten (or is it elementary?) teachers are obsessed with... I need them all! And I love finding new reasons to use them. And thus, this measurement center was born!

Spring is in the air and it is the perfect time to practice 2 skills – counting and identifying the matching number OR for those high fliers, counting and then counting on.
There are 2 sets of cards and instructions, plus everything comes in color or ink saving black & white. Use number tiles, dry erase markers… I personally cut foam paper into squares, wrote numbers on them and voila! Instant hands on center, no boring worksheets. Write the answers on the back to make the center independent a

NEW - Fall edition! These hundreds chart puzzles have everything from birds, pumpkins, bats and monsters to keep your little ones engaged during this season!
At the end of last year I realized that I should have spent a little more time showing my students how to identify the patterns of hundreds charts. I felt like a puzzle would be perfect for them – they could start seeing the patterns but they would be playing and possibly working with a friend to solve the puzzle.

Hole punch the various math mats and place them in a binder for students to use during math time. Students can have their own binders or share with a partner.
I have 2 versions of each binder cover – the full color and ink saving black & white. I also have spine la

I love using Interactive Math Notebooks but kept finding myself frustrated with how much cutting and gluing was involved, especially at the beginning of the year! At the beginning of the year, I want my students to practice getting into the routine of math notebooks; the more complicated stuff can come later.
I designed these pages to be essentially no prep. They are formatted to fit into standard composition notebooks so some quick trimming around the edges will make it so they can easily be
New: Ink Saver Version! Want my original Math Toolkit but need to save on ink? This version takes away the chalkboard background to make it easier to print!
This tool kit is perfect for storing math supplies to be used during whole group math... Last year I noticed that I was passing out a lot of the same materials (ten frames and snap cubes) on a daily basis and it took far too long! Letting the kids get their own supplies took even longer. Now I plan on putting together little math boxes for
