4th grade: Plant and Animal Cells. This lab sheet is to accompany the science lab on plant and animal cells in which students analyze 4 different slides. The sheet is set up for a frog slide, cheek slide, onion slide, and leaf slide (2 plant and 2 animal). If you do not have these cell slides available, you can also edit the word document for the slides that you use to teach with!
This reflection sheet goes along with the picture book, "What's Faster Than a Speeding Cheetah" by Robert Wells. This book is a great tool to use to teach about speed and distance traveled over time. It can also be used as a great introduction to light! Students will use the data found in the text to create a graph. This activity is an integrated lesson; including reading, math, and science!
This student centered lab will require a toy car and measuring tape/meter stick. Students will discover how force impacts the relationship between distance and time. Students will test and record their findings in the table and answer reflection questions.
