Following each chapter, students test their comprehension of the content of The Great Gatsby by completing this exit slip/reading check. This Google Form is self-grading, and it can be used as a quiz, reading check, exit slip, and discussion starter.

This is a comprehension check for Parts Two and Three of The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I use these as a homework check, but sometimes I assign these after we've discussed the section.

Students immerse themselves in the culture of Babylon by becoming a tour guide. Either individually or with a partner, students create a guided tour which includes a written script, citations, a bit of humor, and a presentation.
