Students immerse themselves in the culture of Babylon by becoming a tour guide. Either individually or with a partner, students create a guided tour which includes a written script, citations, a bit of humor, and a presentation. For this project, students explore artifacts from Ancient Egypt and describe what archaeologists learn from their discovery. While this assignment is originally intended to be used with Ancient Egypt, it can be easily adapted to any culture. Mini-lesson includes design of presentations, presentations skills, citation, and drawing conclusions. It's good for in-class or at-home learning.
