This is a fun way to practice those addition facts. Students will be given 1 minute timed tests starting with ones. As they pass each level they will add a gumball to their machine. Once they know all facts for 1-9 they will have a full gumball machine and will be ready to move to the subtraction version.

This activity can be used in small groups or math stations to practice finding the missing parts in subtraction or addition. Using the domino sheets and counters, students can figure out what the missing part is. They will then record it on the worksheet provided.

It looks at the whole number and then the part you know and the missing part (modeled after EnVision math series). Students will use ten-frame and counters to figure out missing part and then record on worksheet.
