This is a fun way to practice those addition facts. Students will be given 1 minute timed tests starting with ones. As they pass each level they will add a gumball to their machine. Once they know all facts for 1-9 they will have a full gumball machine and will be ready to move to the subtraction version.

This is the 4th level of timed tests for the Gumball Math Madness Series. These problems focus on subtraction from 10-16 and 5 different mixed levels.

This activity can be used in a small group or in math stations. Students will use a ten-frame and counters if needed to solve simple subtraction problems and find the apple with the matching answer.
