The first few days (honestly, even sometimes weeks) of the school year are all about building community and understanding expectations. Sometimes, it can be difficult to think outside of the curriculum and create ways to help students get settled in. This is a 6-day group of lessons that do that: build community, get to know each other, and set expectations for the beginning of the school year and the whole year. All of it is editable (or at least should be, let me know if it is not)!

About the store

Experience

I've been a special education teacher, an ELA teacher, and a social studies teacher in my early career so far. I've loved every second and want to continue to see where it gets me! Go middle school!!!

Teaching style

I really love a structured classroom. I thrive on routines and consistency as do my students! That doesn't mean we can't have fun though!!!

My own education history

I loved school as a student. I was a peer tutor for 10 years and loved every minute of school. I loved the constant expectations and learning opportunities, so I continued it for a career!!!
