This checklist is meant to be used during peer revisions. It can also be used for self revisions. It helps students to identify the main idea and topic sentences of each of the paragraphs as well as checking for correct spelling and sentence structure. The form requires each reviewer's signature to confirm that they did their best when revising the essay.
This reading log incorporates standards-based reading activities that encourage students to think about the text in different ways. My students are required to read 20-30 minutes each night and their reading logs are due every Friday. Students must complete four different activities each week.

Contrasts and Contradictions - when a character does something
This is a great resource to use for optional homework. It is COMPLETELY EDITABLE, so you can alter it to fit your needs! Have your students complete various homework assignments throughout the month to earn points. A calendar recording sheet is included for 10 months (September - June). At the end of the month, students can earn rewards for the points that they accumulated! Make sure to download the necessary fonts to make the file appear as it should.
These "Cursive Licenses" are so cute and perfect to give to your students after they have mastered cursive writing. These are specific to Indiana, but I would be happy to alter them for your state! These are easy to edit - just add your students' names, the name of your elementary school, and your city. The grey space can be used to adhere a picture, or you can have your students draw a self portrait!
Attach these labels to the books in your classroom library so that students can easily find a "best fit" book. The lexile numbers are categorized by color (i.e. 200s = dark red, 300s = red, 400s = orange, etc.).
