About the store
I am a success story. Born visually impaired and considered legally blind, I was once told I should attend a special school. My mom chose to keep me in public school, and that decision gave me the chance to rise to the challenge. I not only completed my education, but went on to become a Nationally Board Certified teacher in a regular education classroom. I am living proof that there are no limits when you put your mind to something. For the past 26 years, I have taught students from kindergarten through 4th grade—9 years in private school and 16 years in public school. Teaching has always been both an honor and a challenge as I strive to meet the needs of each of my students on their individual levels. I love technology and use it daily to enhance learning and classroom engagement. On TPT, you’ll find free resources to support teachers, as well as reasonably priced kits that can be printed poster-sized—saving you money compared to buying them in stores. I also create one-of-a-kind graphics that teachers can use to brighten their classrooms and lessons. Outside of teaching, I’ve added to my career by becoming a certified travel agent, where I create custom itineraries and book vacations for solo travelers, couples, and families. I am also an author, having written The Playground Tree, and a creator of adult coloring books featuring themes of travel and Biblical scriptures. I hope the resources I share here will inspire you, save you time, and bring something special to your classroom. 💡

Black History Who am I?

I created this form for my third grade students to use for Black history Research. This form can really be used for any grade, but I feel it is best suited for 3-5th. I couldn't find one already that was exactly what I wanted. This form allows students to choose their specific person and write the basic bio information. There is a box for adding activities and/or inventions that the individuals are noted for, as well as, a picture box and a quote box. I hope you find this helpful as well.

I have seen a lot of great ideas around the internet for tasks students can complete when they THINK they're finished. I poster-size charts like these and place them around the room. It really does cut down on the number of times I hear "I'm done, what can I do?" These tasks also give students great ideas for creating. You can really find out where some of your students' talents lie after they complete these tasks. This is also a great template for using like a Bingo board. If your studen

I have done all sorts of job assignments in my years of teaching. I've rotated jobs so that every child had a job and felt special. I have drawn popsicle sticks. I have chosen boy/girl helpers. I have even tried no jobs at all. I have finally come to the job system I like best. I feel this system teaches students a taste of what it is really like to have and pursue a job. This download consists of * Instructions * Job application * Job descriptions * Contracts * Job positions This downloa

On this download are 12 acronym anchor charts I use for math, reading, writing, and procedures. Acronyms are a great way to teach skills that students can remember. How many of you remember "Please Excuse My Dar Aunt Sally? or "My Very Energetic Mom Just Served Us Nine Pizzas (now just nachos). These acronyms helped us remember the steps to important procedures and we still remember them to this day. Acronyms included are: CUBES, PIE, CAFE, RATE, COPS, STAR, LEARN ...Among others. The

I created these ipad/tablet task cards to help my students’ learning be more meaningful. I often find my students being tempted to click app after app and never stick with one thing. In a short amount of time, they have basically surfed the net or tablet apps instead of really learning something. There are 2 sets of task cards that look very similar. The first set is to be used with a specific app I require each of my students to do as an assignment. Usually, Brain Pop where they have to

In this download, there are three clip charts to use for classroom management. What are clip charts? Clip charts are great for student accountability by moving clothes pins or magnets with their name/number up and down the chart according to what they are working on. It is also a great way to collect data for graphs. This download contains “The Writing Process, How we get home, and Money-Themed Behavior.” There are a total of 20 pieces in this chart. Help Your Students Go Beyond “Happy, Sad, Mad”!If you're anything like me—whether you're a classroom teacher or a homeschooling parent—you've probably noticed that many students struggle when it comes to describing a character in a story. When asked how a character feels, I often get responses like "happy," "mad," or "sad," without any explanation or deeper understanding of why the character feels that way. My 3rd graders especially tend to focus on the visual aspects—what the character looks l

Teaching style

I believe in hands-on learning. I believe students learn best when they can create/construct their knowledge. I believe there are times when whole group instruction is needed. I believe ALL students CAN learn.
