About the store
I am a success story. Born visually impaired and considered legally blind, I was once told I should attend a special school. My mom chose to keep me in public school, and that decision gave me the chance to rise to the challenge. I not only completed my education, but went on to become a Nationally Board Certified teacher in a regular education classroom. I am living proof that there are no limits when you put your mind to something. For the past 26 years, I have taught students from kindergarten through 4th grade—9 years in private school and 16 years in public school. Teaching has always been both an honor and a challenge as I strive to meet the needs of each of my students on their individual levels. I love technology and use it daily to enhance learning and classroom engagement. On TPT, you’ll find free resources to support teachers, as well as reasonably priced kits that can be printed poster-sized—saving you money compared to buying them in stores. I also create one-of-a-kind graphics that teachers can use to brighten their classrooms and lessons. Outside of teaching, I’ve added to my career by becoming a certified travel agent, where I create custom itineraries and book vacations for solo travelers, couples, and families. I am also an author, having written The Playground Tree, and a creator of adult coloring books featuring themes of travel and Biblical scriptures. I hope the resources I share here will inspire you, save you time, and bring something special to your classroom. 💡

I created this form for my third grade students to use for Black history Research. This form can really be used for any grade, but I feel it is best suited for 3-5th. I couldn't find one already that was exactly what I wanted. This form allows students to choose their specific person and write the basic bio information. There is a box for adding activities and/or inventions that the individuals are noted for, as well as, a picture box and a quote box. I hope you find this helpful as well.

I created this template to use in a homework binder for the teacher or to poster size for the classroom. In addition, I have included an example of homework assignments I have used. This document is editable. How it works: Students choose tasks to do to for homework each night. The bingo sheet is then turned in for homework credit. Students who complete a bingo, may write their names in any square they choose on the BINGO board (which I poster-size). To earn a prize; Teacher labels a to

I created these ipad/tablet task cards to help my students’ learning be more meaningful. I often find my students being tempted to click app after app and never stick with one thing. In a short amount of time, they have basically surfed the net or tablet apps instead of really learning something. There are 2 sets of task cards that look very similar. The first set is to be used with a specific app I require each of my students to do as an assignment. Usually, Brain Pop where they have to

These acronyms helped us remember the steps to important procedures and we still remember them to this day. Acronyms included are: CUBES, PIE, CAFE, RATE, COPS, STAR, LEARN ...Among others. Help Your Students Go Beyond “Happy, Sad, Mad”!If you're anything like me—whether you're a classroom teacher or a homeschooling parent—you've probably noticed that many students struggle when it comes to describing a character in a story. When asked how a character feels, I often get responses like "happy," "mad," or "sad," without any explanation or deeper understanding of why the character feels that way. My 3rd graders especially tend to focus on the visual aspects—what the character looks l

Teaching style

I believe in hands-on learning. I believe students learn best when they can create/construct their knowledge. I believe there are times when whole group instruction is needed. I believe ALL students CAN learn.
