About the store
I have been a K-8 teacher since 2006, including work in special education, art, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, positive discipline, multicultural education. I work primarily with struggling readers and ESL students, but my classes are mixed-ability with reading Lexiles ranging from BR-1300: differentiation is key! On average, I increase the percentage of my students meeting state standard by 20-35% of students compared to their own previous year's test, and current average growth is 2 years. In a typical year, 60% of my students enter my room having passed the previous year, and I increase that to about 80-90%.
