"The Veldt" Short Story - Mock Trial Activity
This activity is for use after reading the short story "The Veldt" by Ray Bradbury. Using this preparation form, students will analyze debate questions and collect evidence in preparation of a Mock Trial to determine who is truly at fault in the story. This task includes a link to a PDF version of the story as well. This task includes 6 high-interest debate questions, as well as 3 research tables for students to look at 3 different character perspectives in the story.

Awards & shining teacher moments
I have presented at the New Tech Network national conference in Orlando, Florida, in 2017 on the topic of "Managing Teams in the Middle School Classroom".
I am currently the team leader for our high school's Sophomore English Department.
I have led several Professional Development Sessions to teachers throughout our school district on topics such as: Managing Teams in the Classroom, Strategies for Group Work, and other Instructional strategies.
My own education history
-Received Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University in 2013 majoring in English Education with dual concentrations (Language Arts and Reading)
