This take on the famous game show "The Price is Right!" allows students to compare multiple items with different sizes and prices to determine which is the better deal. Students will have two different items and will calculate the unit rate to determine the better deal. You can even purchase some of these items to give as prizes! For the final spin, I have linked a price is right showcase showdown wheel.
In this project, students will explore the artist Mondrian and then use his inspiration to create their own work of Mondrian art. Students can either create their own art, as seen here, or use the templates provided. After creating their design, students will use their knowledge of rational numbers to calculate the fraction, decimal, and percent of each color used in their artwork.
This is an extension activity for area, perimeter, and volume.
Students must design at least 5 rooms of their choosing. They can include bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, garage, bathrooms, game rooms, media rooms, or any other type of room.
